- how to proceed after confessing to a woman?

like what do i say/do? should i pause to wait patiently on her behalf solution after confessing to her?
The truth is, she actually is a lady from our work . though we resigned, i still like to confess to her.
” before we go back home, i simply want to let you know one thing. *touch her shoulder* I prefer you. (continues on to say why). I recently wished to allow you to realize that.”
Following the “that” line, I am maybe not yes what direction to go. must I just say:
“there’s no necessity to respond to. I simply desired you to definitely find out about my emotions. Many thanks.”
what is a good way to end? just say: “therefore, you want to go back home?”
I am sure she would not wish me personally to kiss her, straight away. AFAIK.
